Daily life

Donald Mcshaw returns after a year with his caravan, alongside of him his clanmembers force a dozen of wagons up the hill, all filled with fruit, wheat, salt, spices, wood and furs. Later that night at the local guild he and his brethern tells the youngsters a story:

...
So the Calam trader asked me how much golden coins I wanted for our iron ores.
Golden coins?! I said to him, I'll need something more valuable then just coins!
You know what he brought me then? He brought me Gems!! the fool!!
So I packed my goods and went further south and made a deal with those barbarians.
Not quite a peacefull people, I say... yet, better traders then Calam, and good prices!

So...anything new here?
